Delete your Soogram account

Deletion is immediate, final and cannot be undone. Take a copy of your data first if you want it.

Option one: from inside the app

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Your data.
  3. Tap "Delete account" and confirm.

Deletion runs immediately after you confirm.

Option two: by email request

If you cannot get into the app, send your request to privacy@soogram.com

Send it from the email address registered on your account if there is one, and include the registered mobile number. We may ask for proof that the account is yours before acting, then carry out the deletion within 30 days at most and confirm it to you.

What is deleted immediately

  • Your ads and stories are removed from view at once, and destroyed with their photos within 90 days.
  • Your personal data: name, email, photo, bio, store, date of birth and gender.
  • Your phone number is replaced with a value that does not identify it; it can be used later for a new account.
  • Verification documents, requests, status and badge.
  • Favourites, saved searches, follows, notifications and your block list.
  • Your points balance is zeroed and any active promotions are cancelled, without compensation.

What remains, only as far as necessary

  • Messages you sent stay in the conversations of the people you messaged, under the name "Deleted account", and are deleted with their conversations 12 months after the last message.
  • Report records and suspension decisions for 24 months, so a suspended account cannot erase its trace by deleting itself.
  • Anonymised ledger entries for points movements, for accounting review.
  • Whatever the law requires us to keep, for the period it specifies.

Before deleting: Settings → Your data → "Download a copy of my data" gives you a JSON file with your account, ads, sent messages and favourites. It cannot be produced after deletion.
