Can you buy 100 screen protectors from Temu or Shein at once? What to know in Jordan

Screen protectors are so cheap on Temu and Shein that many people are tempted to order 100 at once and resell them for a profit. Is that possible? Yes, nothing stops you from placing the order. But your real profit depends on four things: customs, the mix of phone models, glass quality, and how fast you can sell.

Note: Taxes and procedures change from time to time. What follows is a guide only; the final word comes from Jordan Customs or the shipping company that receives your parcel.

Can I put 100 pieces in one cart?

Usually yes. Most protectors are sold in packs of two, three or five, so you order several packs. But some listings cap the quantity per order, and some sellers cancel large orders. If you hit a cap, split the order across several sellers. That is better for you anyway, because you are not depending on one seller’s quality.

What about customs?

This is the most important part of the article:

  • Postal parcels valued between 5 and 200 JOD are exempt from the 10% customs duty.
  • But a 16% sales tax has applied to them since 1 February 2026.
  • Customs works out the value from the shipping invoice and assesses each parcel on its own. Customs has publicly said there is no cap on the number of purchases per person (Arabic source).
  • A parcel worth more than 200 JOD goes back to the normal tariff, and anything over 1,000 JOD needs a formal customs declaration.

A hundred screen protectors usually cost a small amount, so your order will most likely stay under 200 JOD. Add 16% on top of the price and shipping. Example: an order worth 60 JOD arrives at roughly 70 JOD with tax, before local delivery.

What if I plan to resell them?

The exemption and tax above are defined in the law for individuals’ online purchases. Bringing in goods in order to trade, even cheap protectors, may be treated differently by Customs or the clearing company, and you may be asked for a commercial registration or extra details. Ask the shipping company or Customs before ordering a large quantity, and do not split the order to avoid the 200 JOD bracket. A question before buying costs far less than seized goods.

The real problem: every protector fits one model only

This is where beginners get caught. A protector is cut for one specific phone, so an iPhone 15 protector does not fit an iPhone 14. Buy 100 for a single model and you may sell 10 and keep 90 in a drawer. Buy two of every model and you hold 50 models, most of which will never move.

A simple rule:

  1. Know what your market sells. Browse phone listings in Jordan and see which models appear most: usually iPhone and Samsung, then Xiaomi and Realme depending on the price range.
  2. Focus on 5 to 8 models that keep showing up, instead of trying to cover everything.
  3. Buy more of the top sellers and only a few of the rest.
  4. Add the installation extras (an alignment frame, a cleaning wipe, a dust-removal sticker). They are what make a customer buy from you rather than from the shop next door.

Quality: test before you scale up

Tempered glass is fragile. Cheap packs sometimes arrive with chipped edges, or with a cut-out that covers the camera or leaves gaps, and you cannot judge that from photos.

  • Order 5 to 10 pieces first from more than one seller and test them on a real phone.
  • Check the cut-out around the camera and speaker, how well the edges stick, how easily it goes on without bubbles, and the photo reviews from other buyers.
  • Do not trust words like “9H” or “original” in the title; they appear in every listing.
  • Place the big order only after you have picked the best seller.

How much will you actually make?

Work it out this way before you press buy:

price per piece + its share of shipping + 16% tax + expected damaged pieces (assume 5 to 10%) = your real cost per piece

Then compare it with what shops charge for a protector. If your margin is comfortable after the maths, the idea is worth a try. If it is thin, count your time too: fitting, photographing, and answering buyers.

Alternatives worth a look

  • Local wholesale: wholesalers in Amman sell ready protectors with no shipping wait and no customs, and you can inspect a piece in your hand. The margin is smaller, but so is the risk.
  • Wholesale platforms: sites such as Alibaba are built for traders and suit large quantities better than Temu and Shein, which are built for individual shoppers.
  • A shared trial order: buy together with a friend or colleague and split the quantity.

The bottom line

Yes, you can order 100 screen protectors from Temu or Shein. Make your first order small and varied, test the quality, include the 16% tax in your costs, and ask about the rules for importing to resell before you pay.
